Travis Hunter was one of the highest rated prospects coming out for the 2025 NFL Draft.  That was proven when the Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to the second overall pick to take him.

Being the second overall pick guarantees you a big time pay day.  Hunter’s first purchase after said pay day shocked many fans.

    According to journalist Andrew Holleran:

Travis Hunter is a very rich man after going No. 2 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Heisman Trophy winner, who starred for two years at the University of Colorado after starting his career at Jackson State, is expected to sign a four year contract worth close to $50 million. Hunter has already made millions off of Name, Image and Likeness deals at Colorado, too.

But that first purchase after officially becoming an NFL player is a big one.

What did the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie buy immediately after going No. 2 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft last month?

    He’s revealed his purchase.

Hunter, who grew up in Florida, revealed over the weekend that the first thing he purchased after going No. 2 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft was a pair of Jacksonville Jaguars-themed pajamas.

That’s right, Hunter, who is signing for $50 million, spent $30 on some Jaguars pants, that he could wear at his University of Colorado graduation.

Jacksonville reporter Mia O’Brien shared the news.

Hunter is all about football. He might be making a ton of money as an NFL player, but the thing he cares about most – by far – is his production on the field.

The NFL rookie has showed his true character throughout his career, from getting great grades at the University of Colorado to not flaunting his wealth immediately after getting drafted.

Hunter has also shined for his behavior on a flight from Colorado to Florida.

A woman who was sitting next to Hunter on a recent flight shared her experience.

“I had the most wonderful flight home from Denver. I met the nicest young man who sat next to me. He offered to put my bag in the overhead compartment and helped me with my tray. He was always polite, saying “yes ma’am” or “no ma’am.” Anyone would be proud to have him as a son or grandson—so polite,” she wrote on Facebook.

“People walking by were saying congratulations, great job, or even taking pictures. I turned and asked him, “Who am I sitting next to?” I looked at his Jaguar pants, smiled, and asked, “Are you an athlete?” He smiled and said, “I’m Travis. Yes, I was drafted by the Jags.” I already told my sons I want his jersey.

“He’s so humble and down-to-earth—I would have never guessed he was a professional athlete. JACKSONVILLE JAGS, you did good! I will be buying tickets.
