Jacksonville Jaguars two-way rookie Travis Hunter is a unique talent who’s viewed by many as a potential game-changer for the AFC South division franchise.
As interesting as Hunter already is because of his rare capabilities on both sides of the ball, the former Colorado Buffaloes star also has the personality that makes him stand out.
During the Jags minicamp, Hunter “has been seen dancing before plays and laughing with his new teammates as he gets his first taste of offensive and defensive NFL football,” according to Ben Morse of CNN.
Hunter shared more about his sunny attitude during the offseason preparation with the Jags.
“It’s been very easy for me. The guys come in and I bring the juice every day,” Hunter told reporters, per Morse. “I always got a smile on my face and make everyone laugh when I get the chance.
“So we’re just having fun and just being kids out here – just loving it and living our dream.”

Ryan Clark has an idea about what’s best for Jacksonville Jaguars rookie

Given the potential of Hunter to become both a star wide receiver and defensive back in the NFL, former Pittsburgh Steelers safety believes that the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner can be an All-Pro. However, Clark also said that focusing on just one side of the field, particularly on defense, could get Hunter a shorter route to true pro superstardom.
“I think he has All-Pro written all over him,” Clark said during an appearance on ESPN’s NFL Live. “I believe the sky is the limit for Travis Hunter, but if you want to get immediate impact out of this young player, you let him play defense and you let him go lock folks up.”
The Jaguars have yet to decide on a specific role for Hunter or whether they’d allow him to play offense and defense right away in the 2025 season. Either way, Hunter is a talent who should only attract more attention the closer Week 1 gets.
