In Palm Beach County, Florida, the father of Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter has been arrested:
According to Palm Beach County records obtained by USA TODAY Sports, he allegedly violated the terms of his probation.
Hunter Sr. is on probation for three years due to 2023 gun and drug charges. Jail records show that he was arrested Tuesday and remains in custody.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on July 10 after his probation officer said his whereabouts were unknown for 11 minutes on the night of June 28, at which point he was allegedly “too far away from his monitoring device to be accurately tracked.”
According to the records, the 11-minute lapse was a violation of his “community control” probation, which led to the warrant being issued.
Travis Hunter Sr. was granted permission to attend the 2025 NFL Draft in April earlier this year after being prohibited from attending the Heisman Trophy ceremony in December.

Hunter, who excels at both receiver and cornerback, was drafted by Jacksonville.
One of the biggest discussions in the NFL is whether Jacksonville will let him play both wide receiver and cornerback. The former Colorado Buffaloes star has shown he can play two positions at a high level.
The Jaguars traded up to select him, and though he is on track to play both positions, Hunter has the chance to be one of the top offensive rookies in the league.
Travis Hunter is in the rare position where he could win the Rookie of the Year award for either offense, defense, or potentially both.
