Who will be the first quarterback off the board during the 2025 NFL Draft?
The quarterback class heading into the 2024 college football season is a whirlwind.
Can Quinn Ewers lead Texas to a National Championship? Will Carson Beck prove he’s not a product of Georgia’s stacked roster? Can Shedeur Sanders prove the doubters wrong after an up-and-down 2023? Will anyone come out of nowhere and be the 2024 version of Jayden Daniels?
All those questions will be answered between now and next April when the 2025 NFL Draft rolls around.
While football season is finally almost here, let’s take a look at our projected rankings heading into next April’s draft.
2025 NFL Draft Pre-Season Quarterback Rankings
- Shedeur Sanders (Colorado) — Perhaps the most loved and hated player on this entire list, it’s impossible to argue that Shedeur Sanders boasts one of, if not the highest football IQ in all of the 2025 QB class…not to mention he can do what everyone seems to love, he can ‘make every throw.’
- Carson Beck (Georgia) — Carson Beck’s sky-high arm talent potential combined with the quickest release in the entire class puts him second on the list. Beck may be the biggest question mark of the top five and could very well be a borderline first-round selection or the bonafide top overall choice once next April rolls around.
- Quinn Ewers (Texas) — The best deep ball thrower in all of college football is Quinn Ewers. Ewers may have the best natural arm talent of any prospect in the 2025 class, and he’ll have to put it all together (and stay healthy) in 2024.
- Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) — Could the next Jayden Daniels be his heir apparent in Garrett Nussmeier? With a completely different playing style than Daniels, the ‘Nuss Bus’ loves to SLING it and in an offense ran by Joe Sloan and Cortez Hankton, Nussmeier can put up insane numbers in 2024 and surge himself into a potential first-round pick.
- Drew Allar (Penn State) — Heading into the 2023 season, most experts thought Drew Allar could be a top QB off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft. However, the second-year signal caller didn’t have the best year, but with all the talent in the world and a solid set of weaponry around him, Allar can significantly repair his stock in 2024.
- Jalen Milroe (Alabama)
- Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss)
- Cam Ward (Miami)
- Conner Weigman (Texas A&M)
- Riley Leonard (Notre Dame)
