No, Tom Brady isn’t actually returning to the Patriots. He is in film form though. 80 for Brady is an upcoming 2023 roadtrip comedy, starred in and produced by Tom Brady and his production company 199 Productions. Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola cameo.
The movie is based on the real life story of four 80 year old Brady super-fans and their trip to see him play in Super Bowl 51 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Brady gave an exclusive interview to Variety about the film.
“We’ve been part of a lot of battles together,” Brady said. We’ve never been on a movie set together, but it felt like we were back in the locker room when we were there. Anytime I get my friends involved in things that I’m doing, it makes it that much more enjoyable for me.”
All four players have had overlapping Patriots careers but the only time they all played together at the same time was from 2013 to 2017.
In this period the Patriots went 63 – 17 or a winning percentage of 78.8%. They averaged 12.6 wins and 3.4 losses per season. They were also 3 – 2 in AFC Conference Championship games and 2 – 1 in Super Bowls.
In the 2013 and 2015 AFC title game, the Broncos represented the AFC in Super Bowl 48 and 50. They lost 48 to the Seattle Seahawks 43 – 8, but won 50 against the Carolina Panthers 24 – 10.
The Patriots made it to the big game for Super Bowl 49, 51 and 52. They beat the Seahawks 28 – 24 in 49. In 51 they had the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history when they came back from down 28 – 3 to beat the Falcons in overtime 34 – 28. They lost in 52 to the Philadelphia Eagles 41 – 33.
It obviously would have been better if they could have ended their time together as Super Bowl winners, but it doesn’t take away from how successful they really were as teammates.
Authenticity
“The costume team did an incredible job of keeping everything as authentic as possible,” Brady said. “They had amazing attention to detail, even matching old team locker room photos to make sure we were recreating scenes exactly as they were.”
He added how much of a “flashback” it was to see them all in their old uniforms.
Back in 2020 the Patriots changed their old uniforms for the first time in 20 years. The organization decided to go with a style similar to their color rush uniform, which debuted in 2016.
