Tom Brady, former NFL player and current minor owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, seemed delighted about his team drafting Ashton Jeanty with their no. 6 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Brady ‘liked’ an Instagram post from the Las Vegas Raiders official account announcing the team drafting Jeanty.
Jeanty last played as a running back for the Boise State Broncos from 2022 to 2024. In his senior year for the team, Jeanty managed 374 carries for 2,601 yards, scoring 29 touchdowns for the team. The 21-year-old running back was heavily touted to be a leading prospect in this year’s draft.
“Chuckin’ up the Deuces ✌️ @deuce is a Raider 🏴☠️.” The Las Vegas Raiders official account captioned their Instagram post announcing Jeanty joining the team.

Tom Brady became an owner of the Las Vegas Raiders a few months back and owns a five percent stake in the franchise. Apart from owning a small percentage of the team, Brady was also expected to have an important say in making crucial decisions of the team, particularly when it comes to the players.
Brady played in the NFL for 23 seasons, mainly for the New England Patriots. He is the only player to have won the Super Bowl seven times and was crowned Super Bowl MVP five times. After playing in the league for such a long time, Brady is continuing as an analyst for Fox Sports.

Tom Brady Was Selected In The Sixth Round By The Patriots
While Tom Brady is well known for his incredible football skills and the stunning resume he has built in his NFL career. However, on his draft day, Brady was not exactly the first choice for any team. The now retired NFL player was actually selected only in the sixth round of the draft as the 199th pick by the New England Patriots.

According to a conversation in NFL Films back in 2011, Brady admitted feeling disappointed as his name was not called out in the first five rounds of the draft. However, his parents were quite supportive of him.

When Brady’s name was eventually called out by the Patriots, the first thought that the NFL legend had was, “I don’t have to be an insurance salesman!” In that year’s draft, Brady was the seventh quarterback selected. The first QB to go that year was Chad Pennington as the 18th pick in the very first round.
