TikTok Influencer and former SEC college football player, Braden Galloway, has finally opened up about his experience trying to join the NFL after his rocky career as a Clemson Tiger. He posted a video on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 detailing his time with the Tigers and how he went on to perform well enough at Clemson Pro Day to receive an invitation from the Chicago Bears for training camp. It did not end the way he anticipated and his football career came to an end.

@bradengallowayi feel like this story has been long awaited, it was tough but wouldn’t change a thing now though 🫶🏽♬ original sound – BG

Braden explains that he only began playing football in his junior year of high school and was blessed as a local kid with the opportunity to play for the SEC Powerhouse team, the Clemson Tigers after a strong performance through his high school career. He recalls feeling overwhelmed but happy to be a part of a stellar organization.

In his recent TikTok video, Galloway says “Freshman Year, happy as hell just to be there. One, being a local kid and two, not really having a ton of football experience playing football at this level and seeing people at practice and stuff was crazy.” He even equates this time to trying not to drown and explains that he barely played at all.

He then drops a bomb left to fan speculation. Stating that he was suspended at the end of his freshman year from playing football and that the suspension continued through the majority of his sophomore season as well. He does not go into any details regarding the suspension, leaving many to ask questions and voice their ideas in the comments section.

TikTok Fans Speculate Drugs had something to do with it

In one thread, @ceasler guessed “a failed drug test”, @bhadbeach101 commented “I think it was actually he tested positive for ostarine or whatever j look it up”, @mad.alexis0818 then stated, “I thought it was weed, I could be wrong tho.” Galloway answered in the comments saying he will make a video on the topic in the future.

Galloway goes on to say that during his junior season, he was pushed to go pro but didn’t feel confident in his game tape and wanted to finish his time at Clemson so decided to stay in the NCAA for his senior season. Galloway says that at the beginning of his senior season, he suffered his fourth concussion which took a toll on his physical well-being and took him out for a few weeks. His first week returning after the concussion, he suffered a shoulder injury that took him out for the remainder of his college football career.

That season, in particular, was explosive for the Clemson Tigers and they finished with a record of 11-3. After the conclusion of that season, Braden began to consider his chances in the NFL and was not confident in his abilities to do well in the league. Braden was convinced by family and friends to participate in Clemson Pro Day and performed well among his class. He was invited to Chicago Bear Training Camp that year but found himself overwhelmed with the complex offensive playbook and was cut after day 1.

Although not a star football player, Braden found success on the TikTok platform during college, alongside his current wife, Mackenzie Galloway. He has accrued 982K followers on TikTok posting silly videos with his girlfriend (now wife), building off of his small fame being a Clemson Tiger. He continues to be successful on the platform and seems to have no regrets regarding his football career and falling short of the NFL.
