The LA Rams are the Super Bowl 56 champions! They have talked about “running it back” and trying to win another Super Bowl. However, no team has managed to win back-to-back Super Bowls in 18 years. The last team to do it was the 2003 and 2004 New England Patriots. A team that boasted two people widely considered to be the Greatest of All-Time at their positions, in Head Coach Bill Belichick and Quarterback Tom Brady. So, I don’t believe that streak will end in 2022. There are three teams that WILL stop the LA Rams from repeating as Super Bowl champions this season.
Buffalo Bills:
The Buffalo Bills are the favorite on many sports betting sites to win the Super Bowl this year. They have an elite Quarterback and Wide Receiver combination, with Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. They also have Gabriel Davis emerging as an excellent second option in their passing game. These weapons, coupled with the constant threat of Josh Allen’s running ability, create problems for every defense, even one as good as the LA Rams.
The Bills just drafted James Cook, a young pass-catching running back, who will hopefully be the final piece of their Running Back room. The Buffalo Bills have impressive players on defense as well. One of them being Tre’Davious White. A fantastic Cornerback who, if he returns healthy to the Bills, should be able to limit, and contain Cooper Kupp’s game breaking ability. They also added Von Miller this offseason, to bolster their defensive core. Taking them from one of the best defenses in the NFL, to potentially number one.
Cincinnati Bengals:
The Cincinnati Bengals. You read that right. The team that just lost to the LA Rams in Super Bowl 56, are one of the teams I believe are ready to stop the Rams if they meet again in Super Bowl 57. We’ve already seen how electric, and game breaking Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase can be. Chase is now going into his second year in the NFL. The Bengals still have all the stars that made their 2021 run so fun to watch. Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Boyd and Mixon are ready to dominate again in 2022. They replaced their Tight End C.J. Uzomah with Hayden Hurst, in what most consider to be a lateral move, without much significance.
The key place of improvement was the offensive line, that PFF ranked 20th in the NFL for 2021. Cincinnati brought in Ted Karras, La’el Collins, and Alex Cappa. These are all great upgrades to an offensive line that needed to give Burrow one more second in Super Bowl 56 on the last play of the game.
LA Chargers:
The LA Chargers are my favorite sleeper pick to win Super Bowl 57. The problem? They are in what I think is the hardest division in the NFL. However, I believe that the offensive talent they possess can go toe-to-toe with every other team in the NFL. Quarterback Justin Herbert is quickly becoming one of the best QB’s in the NFL. His main Wide Receivers are Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, two incredibly talented WR’s that provide a dynamic ability to win games in the clutch. Austin Ekeler is a phenomenal pass-catching Running Back, able to catch passes in the flat, and read defenses for big runs. PFF has the LA Chargers offensive line projected as the 12th best in the NFL.
The big game changer for the Chargers offseason, were their moves on defense. The LA Chargers found themselves needing Herbert to work magic to win games too often in 2021. So, they went out and upgraded with key defensive acquisitions such as Khalil Mack, J.C. Jackson, and Kyle Van Noy. Adding these to a defense already containing Joey Bosa, Derwin James Jr., and Asante Samuel Jr. provides the depth to make what could be one of the best defenses in the NFL for 2022.
The Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, and LA Chargers have all made offseason moves to win now. These are the three teams, that if they meet, WILL stop the LA Rams in Super Bowl 57.

I think you may be sleeping be on the 49ers. I feel like trey lance could be a huge problem for them and a division rival meaning they could meet 3 times this year and struggle against the multi faceted offence that the 49ers use.
Always possible, that other teams could beat them too!
