With Just two short months until the start of the 2022 NFL season, it’s time to look ahead. This time of the offseason, if you’re paying attention, you can get a leg up on the bookies. As we approach the season, the media talk will only catch up to what you already know, which will be reflected in the lines. Let’s take a look at five futures bets you need to take advantage of before the lines change. All lines used in this article will be taken from DraftKings Sportsbook.
Philadelphia Eagles to Win NFC East +165

The Eagles made many splash moves this offseason. They traded for a bonafide superstar in AJ Brown. After a slow start to last year, the Eagles offense really came into it’s own down the stretch. They led the NFL in rushing yards in 2021. They boast one of the league’s best offensive lines, and now one of the best receiving duos. With the addition of Jordan Davis in the first round, the defense should improve as well. The reigning division champion Dallas Cowboys didn’t noticeably improve this offseason. In fact, the argument could be made that their roster is worse now than it was when the 2021 season ended. The NFC East hasn’t had a repeat winner since 2004. That streak will not end with the 2022 NFL season.

In 2021 six NFL teams won less than 6 games. Yes, the New York Jets were one of them. After a stellar 2022 draft which featured three first round picks, the Jets should to make a leap in the 2022 season. Young second year quarterback Zach Wilson started to grow into his own towards the end of 2021. With improvements made to the offensive line and receiver room, the offense can only go up. The defense features a stout front seven highlighted by former third overall pick Quinnen Williams and breakout star John Franklin-Meyers. With the addition of Sauce Gardner at the fourth overall pick, the secondary should improve as well. In year two of the Robert Saleh regime, expect the team to take a leap.
Trevor Lawrence Regular Season Passing TDs Over 22.5 -110

I am begging you not to be late hopping on the Trever Lawrence bandwagon. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been a garbage organization ever since I’ve been watching football. However, they lucked right into Trevor Lawrence. I know what kind of numbers he put up as a rookie and I just don’t care. Lawrence was doing things as a rookie that are really promising. You just didn’t see them because the team was down by 30 points. He was in one of the worst situations I have ever seen. Horrific receivers on a terrible scheme with awful coaching. Doug Pederson will be such a massive upgrade over what Lawrence dealt with last year. Christian Kirk, while albeit massively overpaid, is a solid infusion into the Jags receiver room. Travis Etienne will also be making his debut this season after his season ending injury in training camp in 2021. The defense won’t be amazing, which means Lawrence won’t be able to run out the clock when they get leads. Lawrence will have to air it out and be a safe bet to exceed 22 passing touchdowns.
