Quarterback Thomas Castellanos is very excited about what the 2025 Florida State Seminoles can do after transferring to the program from the Boston College Eagles. The Seminoles were 2-10 last season, and the team is looking for a spark. It appears that they at least have the confidence needed to do so.
After a terrible 2024 season for the program, Thomas Castellanos is now under center and is looking to elevate the offense to new heights. Let’s take a look at his comments regarding what this offense could look like in the 2025 season.
Thomas Castellanos Bullish on 2025 Florida State Offense

The Florida State Seminoles are looking to put the 2024 season in their rear mirror and get coach Mike Norvell off the hot seat. Castellanos was very bullish on what the Seminoles’ offense could look like during Wednesday’s ACC Football Kickoff as he believes the team can reach 40 points per game this season.
“At its max potential, 40 points per game,” Thomas Castellanos said. “If we do what we need to do and execute and be one accord and play fast and how we need to, I think it could be 40 points a game at its best.”
Thomas Castellanos finished last season completing 99 of 161 (61.5%) of his passes for 1,366 yards with 18 passing touchdowns to five interceptions while running 93 times for 194 yards (2.1 yards per carry) with a rushing touchdown before being benched.
To compare, Florida State was 131st out of 134 teams last season as they averaged 15.4 points per game with DJ Uiagalelei under center. Two teams last season averaged at least 40.0 points per game last season, so it will be difficult to get to that point. However, Thomas Castellanos is willing to put his money where his mouth is, and if he can help the offense get to that point, he can get some serious eyeballs ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Seminoles open their season at home against the Alabama Crimson Tide, so they have the chance to prove how exciting this offense can be.
