The Cleveland Browns finished with a 3-14 record during the 2024 NFL season, and they had the number two overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. With Cleveland finishing in fourth place in the AFC North, many are wondering if they will be a fourth-place team once again in the division in 2025.

The Browns on paper will not be better than the Cincinnati Bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, or the Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland surprised people in 2023 when they had a 11-6 record and finished in second in the AFC North division. The 2025 season will be a big year for this organization for a lot of reasons. Cleveland has to figure out if they have their future franchise quarterback on the roster or not. If not, the Browns are destinated for another top draft selection in 2026.
Cleveland Browns Analyst Thinks Team Will Be In Last Place In the AFC North

Scott Petrak on 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland, Ohio was on the Cleveland Talking Heads show on Monday to talk about where the Browns could potentially finish in the AFC North entering the 2025 season. Petrak said,
“It doesn’t mean they can’t surprise, but I think they’re a distant 4th. I think you have to be fair about that.”
Cleveland will have a very good defense once again, but the offense could potentially be abysmal. One of the reasons why the Browns will be in fourth once again in this division is because of the quarterback play. Lamar Jackson of the Ravens, Joe Burrow of the Bengals, and Aaron Rodgers of the Steelers are all better than what the Browns currently have to offer.
Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders, and Kenny Pickett are all competing for the starting quarterback job for Cleveland and Deshaun Watson is not even in the picture. A lot of people are going to be picking the Browns to finish in fourth place in the AFC North and they could very well have another top selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. If that’s the case, head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry may not be around for the next NFL Draft.
