The Ohio State Buckeyes will enter the weekend as the number three ranked team in the nation, and the Texas Longhorns are the number one ranked team in the country. This is a big Week 1 matchup for Ohio State, and they are the defending national champions.

Despite winning it all last season, there seems to be this black cloud over people’s heads in Columbus, Ohio, when it comes to not beating the Michigan Wolverines over the last four seasons. With that being said, Nick Saban was on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday and said,
“Ohio State getting beat by Michigan last year probably had as much to do with them winning a national championship as anything… They got this psychological disposition about Michigan that’s just killing them, killing them.”
Despite winning it all last season, they feel like they are still missing something entering this season. Ohio State is looking to end its four-game losing streak against Michigan this season.
College Football Fans React To Nick Saban’s Statement About the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines

There were a lot of college football fans who thought that his statement was crazy. This is what they had to say about what Saban said:
One of the greatest college football coaches saying this is all you need to know

He’s not wrong. If Fielding makes those 2 easy FGs and we win 16-13… Do we win the natty? Not sure we would have had that chip on our shoulder. Still would have whopped Tenn I’m sure but don’t know after that….

Well, this might be the biggest story of the season for Ohio State. Tomorrow’s game against Texas is a huge deal. With that being said, the biggest story for the Buckeyes entering the 2025 college football season will be can they finally beat the Wolverines. If they do, there will be a lot of people happy in Columbus, Ohio also.
