“They got this psychological disposition about Michigan”: Nick Saban Believes the Michigan Wolverines Live Rent Free In the Ohio State Buckeyes Heads Despite Being the Champs

Despite winning it all last season, there seems to be this black cloud over people’s heads in Columbus, Ohio, when it comes to not beating the Michigan Wolverines over the last four seasons. With that being said, Nick Saban was on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday and said,

“Ohio State getting beat by Michigan last year probably had as much to do with them winning a national championship as anything… They got this psychological disposition about Michigan that’s just killing them, killing them.”

Despite winning it all last season, they feel like they are still missing something entering this season. Ohio State is looking to end its four-game losing streak against Michigan this season.

Ohio State Buckeyes offensive coordinator Brian Hartline calls plays during spring football practice at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on March 17, 2025.

There were a lot of college football fans who thought that his statement was crazy. This is what they had to say about what Saban said:

Well, this might be the biggest story of the season for Ohio State. Tomorrow’s game against Texas is a huge deal. With that being said, the biggest story for the Buckeyes entering the 2025 college football season will be can they finally beat the Wolverines. If they do, there will be a lot of people happy in Columbus, Ohio also.
