The New York Jets had high expectations entering the season. Entering the game against the New England Patriots, they were 2-5 on the season. After rookie running back Braelon Allen scored a 2-yard touchdown run for the Jets with around three minutes remaining to give them a 22-17 lead, the Patriots answered back.
Rhamondre Stevenson scored a on 1-yard touchdown run with less than 25 seconds remaining in regulation for New England. He also scored on a 2-point conversion on the same drive. The Patriots won the game over the Jets by a final score of 25-22.
New York Jets Fans React To Aaron Rodgers Quote After the Game
With the loss, the Jets feel like making the playoffs this season will be a miracle. They are 2-6 this season and so are the New England Patriots. New England lost its last six games before winning the game over the New York Jets.
After the game, quarterback Aaron Rodgers told the media:
“There was opportunity left out there.”
This fired up the New York Jets fanbase with this quote. Here is what they had to say:
I wish Rodgers would just be honest, “Sorry I am washed up. I apologize to the Jets fans out there who thought I was good, as I’m clearly not. And, I’m sorry to Zach Wilson for taking your spot, as you would have done better than I can.”

Rodgers pointing the blame on others and not himself

Why take any blame, disappointing, and the way he carries himself and always points the finger is quite off putting

When’s the last time you guys posted the final score of a Jets game 😂

This will not get any better for the New York Jets. They will host the Houston Texans (6-2) on Thursday night football. At this point, the fanbase feels like Aaron Rodgers is washed. Against the New England Patriots, he completed 17-of-28 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns.
Robert Saleh Was Not the Problem
When the New York Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh, many thought the problem was going to be gone. However, it doesn’t appear to be the case. Aaron Rodgers is running the show. The Jets acquired wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders and it hasn’t helped them much.
Jeff Ulbrich said after the game:
“Right now, the product that we’re putting out there on gameday is not the product that’s conducive to winning.”
The Jets were a better team with Robert Saleh being the head coach. Also, they should have never given up on Zach Wilson so soon.
