Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts won his first Super Bowl title last season when they took down the Kansas City Chiefs. Hurts was in his second Super Bowl appearance in three seasons and there are people questioning his ability at the quarterback position.

However, espn.com released quarterback rankings that NFL executives and other people voted on. Hurts is in the Top 10, but he is not where people think he should be on the list.
Former NFL Player Calls Out Executives For Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts Being Ranked Too Low

Former NFL wide receiver James Jones was on The Facility on Monday morning on FS1. He was talking about the Top 10 quarterback rankings entering the 2025 NFL season that espn.com released after talking to NFL executives and other people across the league. Well, the Eagles quarterback is ranked ninth on the list.
Hurts was ranked below Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. Herbert was ranked at number seven and Jones had a major problem with this. He said,
“There should never be a list where Herbert is in front of him.”
During the 2024 NFL season, Hurts completed 68.7% of his passes for 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also rushed for 630 yards on 150 carries and 14 touchdowns, along with averaging 4.2 yards per carry. Hurts did miss the final two games of the regular season with a concussion.
As for Herbert’s numbers, he completed 65.9% of his passes for 3,870 yards, 23 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Herbert also rushed for 306 yards on 69 carries and two touchdowns, along with averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Hurts was 20th in passing yards last season. Herbert was 12th in the NFL in passing yards.
Fans React To Former Wide Receiver Comments

He’s right but honestly it is what it is. Rankings change every year.
They give playoff droppers too much credit.
At the end of the day….

Jalen Hurts is the new LeBron for sports talk. All you gotta do is bring up Hurts and it’s a lightning rod of sports discourse and polarizing takes

No one had this energy after Flacco won a Super Bowl . We knew he was good but there were better qbs then him that didn’t win a superbowl

There are a lot of people who are upset that Hurts is ranked behind Herbert in the Top 10 quarterbacks list by espn.com. The Eagles star quarterback will no doubt have a chip on his shoulder once again entering the 2025 NFL season. Hurts has had way more success also in the playoffs than Herbert has.
