A lot of defensive players on the New York Giants are frustrated with defensive coordinator Shane Bowen after they gave up 33 points in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos. The Giants had a 19-0 lead against the Broncos, but they lost the game 33-32.

With the loss, the Giants drop to 2-5 on the season and the Broncos improve to 5-2 on the season. Brian Burns was extremely upset with the loss. He is not the only player on the roster who does not trust him as the defensive coordinator. It is mind boggling as to why this organization kept Bowen for another season after being horrendous in his first season. Is there a chance that he will even survive the season as the defensive coordinator?
New York Giants Insider Hints At Team Potentially Firing Defensive Coordinator Shane Bowen

After the game ended, a fan on Twitter asked Dan Duggan of the Athletic if he believes that Bowen is even going to survive as defensive coordinator. This fan feels like the players are dissatisfied with him as the defensive coordinator. Duggan said about the possibility of the Giants firing Bowen,
“I’ll answer this way: The Giants’ problems run a lot deeper than Bowen, but if he’s lost the players’ confidence then I can see a change. I don’t know if it’s reached the point of no return with players, but there have been signs pointing in that direction”
Since there are signs pointing in that direction, Brian Daboll should fire Bowen as defensive coordinator before he loses the locker room. Daboll needs to save his job potentially and another step to saving his job is firing Bowen as defensive coordinator and making someone else the defensive coordinator.
