This NFL season has been a bad start the first three weeks of the season. There are two things we can do; apply for a job, or put in nine bets this weekend and let it ride. I am going to do the latter. This weekend in week 4 of NFL football will be an exciting one, my picks are full of underdogs covering.
The Red Beard: NFL Picks Week 4
NFL Picks: Thursday Night
Miami Dolphins +4 vs Cincinnati Bengals
Thursday night football on Amazon Prime, I understand the number if Tua were not playing. However it seems like he will play. The more important part is the Miami Dolphins defense playing?
The Bengals offensive line is atrocious. No matter how good Burrow is, and he is the best, he will not be able to do much from the ground. Dolphins defense holds steady as the offense runs away with it in the second half.
Give me the Dolphins winning outright 27-17, I will take the spread however because well, why not?
NFL Picks: Sunday
Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints Over 43.5
This is my biased pick of the week, I have not given up on this Saints offense being the most explosive in the league. Even with all the injuries, I expect this game to get into the 50’s.
Minnesota also has a top tier offense as far as on paper, scoring points. With this game being in London where there is no home field advantage. I see both teams putting up an offensive showcase.
Give me Saints pulling off a tight one 26-24.
Baltimore Ravens +3 vs Buffalo Bills
This is a spot where I do not see the Bills being able to put up a big lead at any time in the game. In fact I see the Bills playing from behind most of the game.
The Ravens offensively are under rated, although there defense has some holes, I do not see the bills being able to take advantage due to the lack of a running game.
One bad turnover earlier for the bills and it will be 10-0 Ravens early. Ravens hold the Bills off 31-28.
Chicago Bears +3.5 vs New York Football Giants
Neither one of these teams likes to win games big. Both teams play all of their games down to the wire. In my memory without looking up stats I would say every win each of these teams has had in the last two seasons were less than 3 point margins.
I would bet the number in this one. Giants or Bears, whoever I can get a +3 on, I will take it and sleep good doing so.
This will be an ugly game, Giants win 17-16 with a last second field goal, for fun let’s say 47 yards out.
Houston Texans +5 vs Los Angeles Chargers
This numbers has been dropping like NFL receivers these days. I put it in at +6 when it opened and have never been happier with a bet. Besides last weeks Jags +7 over these same Chargers.
Houston is an unknown team, and they play hard for Coach Smith. Add a quarter back for Los Angeles with broken ribs and them not having their best defender.
It is a no-brainer, Houston gets their first win of the season. 24-10. Chargers are just too banged up to compete with the pride Houston will bring. The Texans are 2-1 ats this season.
Tennessee Titans +3 vs Indianapolis Colts
I told you I had all under dogs this week. Both of these teams opened the season with 2 disappointing loses. Causing fan bases and media every where to call them out and tell us how bad they are.
Simply not true, this is two good teams that will be not only fighting for a division title, also a playoff spot. This game will be the beginning of a good winning streak for the victor.
I like the Titans as a better team all around. I will take them and the 3 points while I can before this line moves to 2.5. Close game 20-19, another field goal to win it. For bar talk sake, a 32 yarder.
Arizona Cardinals vs Carolina Panthers Over 42.5
I know this season has been the season of the unders so far. This is the bet I doubt the most, however I can not see a way the Cardinals stop the Panthers.
Carolina has an under appreciated offense with an under appreciated quarterback and an under appreciated coach. What I am saying is, do not let the media lie to you, this team can put up points in a hurry.
The Cardinals, even with all of the receiver injuries, will find a way to stay with them. Both teams score over 20. Panthers win 31-20.
Kansas City Chiefs ML vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Kansas City Chiefs will come into this game with a chip on their shoulder. They are still the best team in the league.
On the other side, Tampa Bay is beginning a downward spiral that only I seem to notice. I could be wrong, however the goat will wished he retired as the Bucs go 8-9, missing the playoffs.
Give me Kansas City in a blow out, 38-10. Mahomes is still the top two quarterbacks in this league.
Denver Broncos ML vs Las Vegas Raiders
The Broncos even through all of the woes being amplified by the media’s obsession with Wilson’s contract are 2-1. They will only improve as they grow.
The Las Vegas Raiders might be the second worse team in the league this season behind the Arizona Cardinals. With that being said, I see the Broncos rolling this Sunday.
Denver finds it groove like Stella on an island against the Raiders, and win handsomely, 27-15. Although the Raiders do play games close usually, I do not see them getting their first win of the season yet.
