Week 3 of NFL football is upon us. Here are my NFL Picks this week. We have seen some of these teams best, and another set of teams worst. It is up to us to decide what is real and what is just one bad game. This week I have 6 games on the slate for you guys, starting off with Thursday night football.

The Red Beard: NFL Picks Week 3

Pittsburgh Steelers +4 vs Cleveland Browns

This is a divisional match-up in one of the toughest divisions. Honestly no matter which way this number went I would take the +points if it were 3 or greater.

That is exactly what we have here, Steelers +4 is an automatic bet in my book. I have bet the Steelers week 1 and 2 ats and have won 1 and pushed the second.

This game will come down to a field goal, Steelers win 19-17 is a low scoring dog fight.

Detroit Lions +6 vs Minnesota Vikings

This season, taking the Lions at +6 just feels right. This gritty team has shown their fight in the first two weeks. I see that continuing all season under Coach Dan.

As long as this line stays above 5 I am all in on it. I am not sure if the Vikings find enough ways to score, outside of Cousins to Jefferson.

Until this offense learns how to spread the ball around consistently, I will be fading them. Especially in a division match-up. Give me the Lions winning outright as dogs, 31-21.

Kansas City Chiefs -6 vs Indianapolis Colts

This line will be one of the favorite bets of the week on a lot of peoples cards. I would be wary if this number goes above 7.

Even though a lot of handicappers including myself have this game going in a blow-out, this is the NFL. The Chiefs are electric, however what if the Colts defense remembers that it was one of the best last season and turn it on.

Still too early in the season to write anybody off, including the Colts. Give me the Chiefs winning a surprisingly close one, 27-20.

New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers Over 40.5

This number is disrespectful to these offenses, both of which can play at high levels and play fast. There is uncertainty on the New Orleans side as far as quarterback as well as Saints defense being one of the toughest in the league early.

Not sure how much of a factor that has going into this game, however I see both teams scoring over 20 points, first one to 31 winning.

Give me the Saints winning 31-24 in this NFC South showdown.

Green Bay Packers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Over 41.5

This is another game that I see as way to low of a total. Both of these teams will put up at least 20 points each. Easily.

This will be a Brady, Rodgers classic. It will be a high scoring affair coming down to the last few drives.

Give me the Packers in a close on 38-35.

Los Angeles Rams vs Arizona Cardinals Over 48.5

Okay, either I am off this week of these books are trying to give people some money back after a profitable week 1 and 2. Either way this is another over that I personally feel is about a touchdown too low.

Rams, Cardinals will shoot it out this weekend. Defense’s will be absent most of this game. Give me the Rams winning 48-31. Easy over.
