There are four New Orleans Saints season props that caught my eye. Let’s dive in to each one individually. As part of Who Dat Nation these four New Orleans Saints season props will make the season a little more exciting. Right now these season props have the best value you will get on them all season.
New Orleans Saints to win the division +300
The Saints schedule is a tough one, however the division is looking like a two dog fight between the Saints and Buccaneers. In which the saints are undefeated against Tampa Bay since they signed Tom Brady. (Knock on wood)
The Panthers and Falcons are both in the middle of a rebuild that does not have much promise for the next two seasons. Even with that being said the NFC south usually plays each other tough.
With the huge improvement adding depth and talent on defense this season, specifically in the secondary. The only challenge I see for the Saints is staying healthy on the offensive side. If Jamies Winston and Michael Thomas can shake off these pre-season injuries and have even an average season for them, this offense could be fireworks.
Jameis Winston to throw for the most yards +3000
Speaking of fire works on the offense, let’s not forget what a healthy Winston did his first 4 years in the league, strictly passing yards wise. In his last full season as a starting quarterback in the NFl, 2019, he led he league in passing yards with 5,109. Yes, his infamous 30 touchdown, 30 interception season.
Not only is this offense built to throw, with an above average receiving core. They also have Alvin Kamara at running back who is an absolute weapon coming out the backfield as a receiver.
The only thing that makes me hesitate on this bet is that with a defense as good as the Saints’ is supposed to be, I am worried about the offense becoming run heavy with a lead in the 3rd and 4th quarter. However on the other side of that sword, the defense could give him more attempts by getting quick stops.
After deep thought we are talking about a quarterback with the arm and confidence to let it fly. A quarterback who led this same team to a 5-2 start last season before being injured.
One who like i said has led the league in passing yards his last full season. A quarterback with 3 elite weapons around him and a defense built for three and outs.
Michael Thomas comeback player of the year +1600
Michael Thomas until his injury was the top receiver in the NFL, on pace to break numerous records and etch his name into history. Being the number one choice for Winston to throw too combined with his elite route running, one thing is for sure, Thomas will get his catches if healthy.
Speaking of health he is dealing with a slight hamstring problem during this pre-season. Even though Jameis Winston is also coming off of an injury and in line to compete for comeback player of the year. My gut is telling me due to Michael Thomas missing the last 2 seasons will give him a better story for the press. He truly is the heart of this team since Brees’ retirement.
If he can play all 17 games, I do not see anybody competing with him for comeback player of the year. I also do not see this line getting any better as the season moves along.
Chris Olave to win Offensive Rookie of the year +1200
With Jameis Winston letting it fly, Michael Thomas getting double teamed, Jarvis Landry and Alvin Kamara taking the linebackers attention. That leaves rookie Chris Olave single covered on the back end against number 2 corner’s all year long.
He will be sharing snaps with 2nd year receiver Marquez Callaway, however I do not see that stopping him from being the top rookie this season if he can adjust to the speed of the NFL.
After dominating college at Ohio State, he is considered one of the biggest steals of this year’s draft. Experts look at this young man and see a star in the making, why shouldn’t he start his career off with the Offensive Rookie Of the Year?
