When it comes to the NFL everybody can pick a favorite. Buffalo Bills -240 to win the AFC East, or the Green Bay Packers to win the NFC North at -170. Let’s look at other Division Title bets with value.
All of these bets have + money value and are not the popular opinion. However these are the bets I have made due to the “anything can happen” mindset coming into a brand new season.
Division Title:
Denver Broncos +275 to win AFC West
Russell Wilson is that good, good enough to lead this team to the Division Title. At wide receiver and running back position, Wilson has more than enough tools to get the ball too. The biggest question has always been the offensive line for him in Seattle.
According to ESPN, Denver has one of the top 5 offensive lines in the league. Which will allow the run game with Javonte Williams to set the tone. Between play action and the o-line giving Russell time to scan the defense from the pocket, the passing game will be dynamite in a toaster deadly.
Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton are looking to have career years, and I see no reason to disagree. As long as this defense can be any where near as solid as last years, I can many ways that the Denver Broncos can win this Division. At +275; it is a no brainer for me.
Tennessee Titans +190 to win AFC South
I do not think this team is done dominating this Division, at least for one more season. Especially if you will give them to me at + money. Derrick Henry and this defense will win games, trust me their quarterback will even be a good player as well.
Too much has been harped on about one playoff game for this franchise, and frankly I am not betting on them in the playoffs. I am betting them to win a Division that is in my opinion a two dog race in between the Titans and Indianapolis Colts. Give me Ryan Tannehill over Matt Ryan, any day at this point in their careers, and the Tennessee Titans to win the Division Title.
New Orleans Saints +320 to win NFC South
With Michael Thomas coming back, it will be his time to remind every one who the best receiver in the league is. A healthy Jameis Winston who has the confidence and arm to make any throw on a football field. Add Jarvis Landry, rookie Chris Olave, and Alvin Kamara out of the backfield; this offense will put up points.
Coming into this season the Saints have one of the top ranked defenses, with tons of not only talent, they also have tons of experience. The veteran core has a nice mix of young talent they will be able to mentor.
This Division will come down to one of three teams, one of which would be a complete surprise in the Carolina Panthers. However as long as pigs don’t fly down south this year, it will be out of Tampa Bay Buccaneers or my pick in the New Orleans Saints.
Pittsburgh Steelers +1100 to win AFC North
If you are not betting the defending AFC Champions Cincinnati Bengals at +160. Or the Baltimore Ravens at +130, the slight favorite in the Division. Or even some of the Cleveland only bettors betting the Browns at +450. Why not join me and bet the Steelers to win this division at +1100.
The only thing this team has been missing the last few years is a quarterback that can throw the ball down the field further than 15 yards. Well now they have 2 of them. With the same Mike Tomlin led defense, and the same elite weapons in Najee Harris and friends.
As a wise man once said somebody has to lose and somebody has to win. This Division will beat each other up all season long, it will come down to a 1 or 2 game difference in the end. The Pittsburgh Steelers will surprise a lot of people and not only win this Division but make a run in the playoffs.
The Red Beard: Over View Division Title
- Denver Broncos +275 (AFC West)
- Tennessee Titans +190 (AFC South)
- New Orleans Saints +320 (NFC South)
- Pittsburgh Steelers +1100 (AFC North)
