After the New York Giants lost again to the Green Bay Packers 27-20 on Sunday, interim head coach Mike Kafka spoke to the media after the game. He mentioned that rookie defensive lineman Abdul Carter was benched for the first series of the game due to disciplinary reasons and Kafka mentioned it would stay in house.

Well, Dan Duggan of the Athletic reported something different on Monday. He said on his Twitter page about Carter,
“Sources: Giants rookie LB Abdul Carter was benched for the opening drive of yesterday’s loss to the Packers for missing a walk-through. Carter was asleep in the team facility at the time of the walk-through:”
The fact that the media even leaked this story goes to show how much of a mess this Giants organization currently is right now. Carter was the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft from the Penn State Nittany Lions. He has not lived up to expectations and coaching by defensive coordinator Shane Bowen has no doubt ruined his confidence.
New York Giants Fans Explode Over Leaked Reports As to Why Abdul Carter Was Benched For First Series

There are a lot of Giants fans who are furious with this Carter report and this organization continues to be an absolute dumpster fire. This is what some New York fans had to say about the latest report on Twitter about the rookie:
The once great giants are a mess right now. I feel bad for the loyal fans 😕

So much for keeping it in house. Kafka, figure the snake out and cut them loose.

Bro has a half a sack and thinks he’s him

This season, he has recorded 23 total tackles and 0.5 sacks. Carter has not lived up to expectations, but there is no doubt that Bowen has not coached him properly. Are the Giants going to have another first-round bust on their hands? They have had many first-round busts under general manager Joe Schoen. After the season, New York needs to tear it all down with the coaching staff, scouting department, and front office.
