“The Offense Is One-Footed Too”: Fans Rip Apart Deion Sanders After He Reveals Blood Clots Returned During Colorado Buffaloes Loss

Deion Sanders has already lost two toes to blood clots. He’s battled circulation issues in his legs for years, undergoing multiple surgeries just to keep coaching. Colorado Buffaloes’s 35-21 loss to TCU on Saturday night brought those health demons roaring back.

Sanders coached the fourth quarter with one shoe off, limping along the sideline while his team collapsed against the Horned Frogs. After the game, Coach Prime dropped news that nobody wanted to hear but everyone saw coming.

Deion Sanders Admits Blood Clots Likely Returned as Colorado Buffaloes Gets Demolished by TCU

Sanders stood at the podium after the loss and let it all out. He told reporters he believes more blood clots have formed in his leg, adding that he’s “hurting like crazy” and the pain doesn’t make sense anymore.

The admission came after cameras caught him ditching his left shoe on the sideline, trying to find any relief from the throbbing in his foot.

The timing couldn’t be worse for Colorado. The Buffaloes dropped to 3-2 on the season after getting torched by TCU quarterback Kaidon Salter, who threw for 296 yards and three touchdowns.

Sanders’ health crisis played out in real time on national television while his defense gave up 35 points and his offense stalled repeatedly in the second half.

Sanders has already undergone groin surgery in 2023 to remove tissue related to blood clot complications. He’s had multiple toe amputations on his left foot because circulation problems turned dangerous.

This spring brought another devastating blow as a cancer diagnosis forced surgery and treatment during the offseason.

Now the blood clots have returned and they threaten to sideline a coach who has built his entire Colorado tenure on being present and visible.

The Hall of Fame cornerback tried to downplay the situation after a reporter brought it up. Sanders acknowledged letting the information slip but said he didn’t want his health becoming the story.

The problem is that his health has already become the story since he started coaching with one shoe off during a blowout loss. But curious fans have something to say about his condition.

College Football Fans Show Zero Sympathy for Coach Prime’s Latest Health Scare

Social media turned brutal once Sanders confirmed his blood clot fears. One fan wrote, “The offense is one-footed too.”

Another added, “Deion just need to go away and live out the rest of his years lol.” The comment reflected growing frustration with Sanders’ constant health battles overshadowing Colorado’s on-field struggles.

A third observed, “Lmao no he bout to Quit and blame it on his foot.” The skepticism ran deep among fans who’ve watched Sanders deal with medical issues throughout his Colorado tenure.

The reaction shows an uncomfortable truth about college football. Fans put winning first and health second, especially when a coach’s team just got blown out by a conference rival.

Sanders’ blood clots are severe and could be life-threatening, but the timing of the news right after a tough loss made some people feel like it was an excuse.

Colorado travels to face Kansas State next weekend. Whether Sanders coaches that game with one shoe, two shoes, or from a golf cart remains uncertain.

What’s clear is his body is breaking down while his team struggles to meet the massive expectations he created when he took the job.
