The New York Jets signed quarterback Justin Fields to a two-year deal in the offseason. Fields was signed to potentially be the starting quarterback for the Jets in 2025.

However, with training camp already underway, Ari Meirov reported on his Twitter page on Thursday morning out of Jets camp,
“Developing: #Jets QB Justin Fields was carted to the locker room after suffering an apparent injury during practice.”
This is not good news for New York. With this team not making the playoffs since 2010, this seems to be heading in the wrong direction for them once again.
NFL Fans React To New York Jets Quarterback Justin Fields Injury

It is not a surprise that a ton of NFL fans reacted to Fields’ injury already this early in training camp. This is what some fans had to say about the Jets quarterback injury:
The Jets man…

So who’s the starting QB now are they gonna trade for Kenny Pickett

Everyone please remember that being carted off in training camp isn’t always the same thing as being carted off in a game, but reporters want you to believe that to increase engagement

Hopefully it was just a super conservative call and he’s okay. The franchise doesn’t deserve this at all man

If Fields were to miss the majority of the 2025 NFL season for New York, Tyrod Taylor would then become the Jets starting quarterback. However, there is a chance that they could potentially contact the Atlanta Falcons for Kirk Cousins, the Cleveland Browns for Kenny Pickett, or they could potentially look elsewhere as well.
No matter what the Jets try to do at the quarterback position, they seem to be cursed. Fields was with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024 and he 65.8% of his passes for 1,106 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. Fields also rushed for 289 yards on 62 carries and five touchdowns, along with averaging 4.7 yards per carry.
The Aaron Glenn era is not off to a good start here. If Fields is out for the season after being carted off the field at practice, many people will continue to comment saying this is the same old Jets.
