The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl during the 2024 NFL season. They were one of the best teams in the NFL during the regular season and had a 14-3 record.

With Philadelphia winning its second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history, they had a loaded offense because of it. It was led by running back Saquon Barkley and quarterback Jalen Hurts, but the Eagles also have one of the best wide receiver units in the entire NFL. Where does pro football focus rank Philadelphia’s wide receiver group entering the 2025 NFL season?
Pro Football Focus Ranks the Philadelphia Eagles As the Number One Wide Receiver Room Entering the 2025 NFL Season

Trevor Sikkema of pro football focus ranked each team’s wide receiver unit entering the 2025 NFL season. At number one, he had the Eagles wide receiver room. This came as a surprise a little bit because teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Detroit Lions, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Cincinnati Bengals have good wide receiver rooms as well. Sikkema said about Philadelphia being number one,
“The Eagles earned a team 79.1 PFF receiving grade last season and boast the No. 1 (A.J. Brown) and No. 17 (DeVonta Smith) receivers in PFF’s top 32 wide receiver rankings, as well as the No. 2 running back (Saquon Barkley) and No. 8 tight end (Dallas Goedert). Throw in Jahan Dotson as an ideal No. 3 receiver, and you’ve got a group that has a strong case for being the best in the league.”
A.J. Brown played in 13 games for Philadelphia during the 2024 season. He caught 67 passes for 1,079 yards receiving and seven touchdowns, along with averaging 16.1 yards per reception. Brown was targeted 97 times. When Brown is on the field, he is easily a Top 5 to Top 10 wide receiver in the NFL.
Devonta Smith would be a number one wide receiver option if Brown was not on this team. Smith is a perfect number two wide receiver option in Philadelphia’s offense. Smith also appeared in 13 games last season for the Eagles, and he caught 68 passes for 833 yards receiving and eight touchdowns, along with averaging 12.3 yards per reception. Smith was targeted 89 times.
It will be interesting to see how Jahan Dotson will excel as the team’s number three wide receiver once again in 2025. This will be the second year he is with the team after spending his first two seasons with the Washington Commanders. Dotson caught 19 passes for 216 yards receiving and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 11.4 yards per reception. He also was targeted 33 times. Philadelphia has a chance to be explosive once again during the 2025 NFL season.
