The Cleveland Browns Have The Framework Of A Trade In Place To Land Brandon Aiyuk, But It Is Up To The Wide Receiver To Accept The Terms

The Cleveland Browns know how to make big splashes for wide receivers, and general manager Andrew Berry is not afraid to go after the guy he wants. In the last three offseasons, Berry has acquired a wide receiver in a trade, and another one could happen soon.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is heading into his last season on his contract and has wanted a new deal from the team for a while now. The 49ers have not made a single move, indicating that they are willing to give Aiyuk a new contract, and the star wide receiver has made it known to either pay him or trade him.

Cleveland Browns Have The Framework Done To Add Brandon Aiyuk

With the season just five weeks away, the 49ers feel pressure to finish the trade. A report from Matt Maiocco, who covers the 49ers, released a report on Monday night stating San Franscio as the framework of a Brandon Aiyuk trade with both the Browns and Patriots. Now it’s up to Aiyuk to decide if he will accept either team’s contract terms.

Maiocco stated, “The 49ers would likely acquire a veteran wide receiver and a package of draft picks from the Browns or Patriots.

If Aiyuk was dealt to the Cleveland Browns, wide receiver Amari Cooper would probably be the veteran wide receiver moved since he is also in the last year of his contract, and the Browns have shown no signs of wanting to get a new deal done.

The Cleveland Browns would not have to part ways with a first-round pick, but a second-round rounder would probably be the starting point in the deal with a few other draft picks thrown in.

If Aiyuk were traded to Cleveland, he would get a new contract that would lock him up long-term. He would become the team’s number-one wide receiver, along with newly acquired receiver Jerry Jeudy, who came over from the Denver Broncos in March.

It will be up to Aiyuk to accept Cleveland or New England. If he accepts the Browns, he will excite many fans across Ohio.
