It was a horrible day on Sunday when the Cleveland Browns let the Los Angeles Chargers walk into their house and beat them 27-10. Much of that was about the Browns’ starting quarterback, Jameis Winston, who returned to his normal self.

Last week against the Baltimore Ravens, Winston threw for 334 yards and three scores, helping give the Browns the win, but this weekend, the 30-year-old quarterback threw the ball to the other team a handful of times.
Cleveland Browns Make A Decision On Winston

On Sunday, Winston threw for 235 yards, one score, and three interceptions and looked like one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL.
Winston has always had issues throwing the ball to the other team in his NFL career, which is why he is not a starter. Now, the Browns have a decision they need to make about him.
Cleveland’s record is 2-7 heading into their bye this week, and there is no point in playing Winston. Everyone knows he is not a starter, and they need to play their second-year quarterback, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and see what they have in him.

The Browns need to lose as many games as possible to find themselves at the top of the NFL Draft, where they can take a rookie quarterback, but there is a chance with how Winston plays good some weeks and awful others, they can rattle off some wins and find themselves out of the rookie quarterback range.

Cleveland just needs to play Thompson-Robinson and see if he can be the guy. If he doesn’t show he can play, the team will lose games, and they can pick a rookie in 2025.
