The Cleveland Browns have traded their former starting quarterback to the Carolina Panthers for a 2024 conditional draft pick. It wasn’t a matter of if he would be traded, it was more about when will get traded? The Panthers didn’t give up a lot to get him. It only cost them a fourth-round pick at best or a fifth-rounder depending on how much he plays. Let’s dive into the fantasy value for some key players on the Panthers with new Quarterback Baker Mayfield now under center.
Believe it or not I think his value slips a little here leaving Cleveland. Just for the simple reason of having to learn a new offense in a very short period of time. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride at the beginning of the season for Baker, which is a shame because the Panthers take on the Browns in week 1.
I don’t think his stock rises nor falls with Baker Mayfield. You know what you will get out of CMC if he’s on the field. He’s a game-changer and will stay locked in for a top-three pick in your fantasy drafts.
Arrow is pointing up. The dude went over 1000 yards last year on 93 catches with Sam Darnold at the helm. With Baker Mayfield presumably the starter I could see DJ Moore with another 1000 yards and over 100 catches under his belt. He’ll be a target hog from Baker and teams still have to respect CMC at the line of scrimmage.
