The Cleveland Browns quarterback room is going to be one of the biggest stories in NFL training camp this summer. On the current roster, they have five different quarterbacks, and they are Deshaun Watson, Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco.

On Monday, Sanders signed a four-year deal worth $4.6 million. This came as an interesting surprise. Does this mean that he will be guaranteed a roster spot by the start of the season? It remains to be seen. It could be something, or it could mean absolutely nothing.
Cleveland Browns Fans React To Shedeur Sanders Contract

To no surprise, the Browns fanbase reacted to the Sanders contract that was signed on Monday. This is what some Cleveland fans had to say about it:

That is nothing to be excited about!

I feel this team is purposely trying to lose on a bet or something. They have Watson (signed), Flacco (signed) and traded a draft pick for Pickett. They then drafted a QB in the 3rd and finally Sanders in the 5th (signed).
Are you cutting your 3rd round pick?

It would be organizational malpractice by the Browns if they were to cut third-round selection Gabriel before the 2025 NFL season. Sanders is looking to prove his doubters wrong. He was supposed to be a first-round selection until he slipped all the way to the fifth round and the Browns drafted him. Many think that Sanders will be a lock to make the roster now after this contract signing, but nothing should be guaranteed.
