The Browns and Eagles had a joint practice, and one player for the Browns stood out. Simply put, Amari Cooper is smooth. It also seems that the Jacoby Brissett and Amari Cooper connection is starting to form.

Cooper is starting to become a leader on this team, and head coach Kevin Stefanski knows that players are looking up to him.
“He is very much himself. Kind of talking about Jacoby earlier, he is himself, and he is not a very loud, boisterous guy. but, you used the word, he is thoughtful and he is very, very intelligent. I think the players naturally respect him for who he is as a player in this league and what he has made of his career to date. He is an established pro so the guys certainly respect him. I think what he does is he works and he does not say much when he works, and I think the guys really see that day in and day out.”
After Cooper had a down year with the Cowboys last year, the Browns are going to try to make him as comfortable as possible on offense.
“You are talking to a very, very smart football player. He has seen all of the coverages. He has gone against every DB. I think he knows his game and what he is good at. We had those conversations and great dialogue about routes that he has really consistently won on in his career because ultimately, as we put this together, we are trying to match up what our guys do best. Anytime you can have that conversation with a player, I think it is important.”
Cooper really needs to have a good year this season. With Deshaun Watson out, he has to make things easy as possible for Jacoby Brissett.
