Ohio State is only a few short days away from playing its first playoff game in Ohio State Stadium. They will face Tennessee, and if they don’t win, head coach Ryan Day will likely be fired.
Questions have popped up over the last few weeks, and many have speculated about who could replace the 45-year-old head coach. One name was former Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer, but he said he won’t return to the sidelines soon.
Another name mentioned for the job is former NFL head coach Mike Vrabel, who played and coached at Ohio State.
While Vrabel’s name has been mentioned in many NFL head coaching jobs, there is a chance he could coach the Buckeyes. ESPN football analyst Dan Orlovsky was on the Pat McAfee show Tuesday afternoon and stated that Vrabel has been spoken for when it comes to being a head coach next year.
Orlovsky would not say who the job would be and where Vrabel would be coaching, but everyone on the Pat McAfee show said it was the Buckeye’s job.
Many Ohio State fans took to social media to react to the news, and here are some of their reactions.

Dan Orlovsky seems to allude to Mike Vrabel having his eyes set on coaching at Ohio State. Would be a shocking change of tune, with Ross Bjork expressing his support for Ryan Day just one week ago. pic.twitter.com/3I7J7rul6Y
