During Wednesday’s training camp, the Chicago Bears and quarterback Caleb Williams were not in sync. Because the first team was not in sync, head coach Ben Johnson yanked the first-team offense off the field for the second-team.

Tight end Cole Kmet spoke up about what Johnson wants from this team. Well, the Bears offensive woes apparently continued into Friday morning’s training camp session as well.

On Friday morning during Bears training camp practice, Williams ran five plays during 7 on 7’s. Two of his five passes were intercepted. This goes to show that he is continuing to struggle in the offense for Chicago with a new guy at the helm.

Well, there is no surprise that NFL fans have to chime on Twitter about his struggles. This is what some of them had to say about his struggles:
That’s not a good sign when you’re throwing picks in 7 on 7.

Williams is going to continue to have the spotlight on him during training camp with the Bears because of having a new head coach and also, he was the number one overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft from the USC Trojans. During his rookie season, he completed 62.5% of his passes for 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Williams also rushed for 489 yards on 81 carries and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 6.0 yards per carry.
There will be a lot of growing pains with Williams and Johnson early on. There is also a lot of time left to fix a lot of things before the 2025 NFL season begins. Chicago is going to up the 2025 NFL season on Monday night football against the Minnesota Vikings. Williams will need to prove himself in the primetime slot and he isn’t proving himself early on in training camp after a 5-12 record during the 2024 NFL season.
