Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata pulled off the best mic’d-up prank of the season when he scared NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo just after the Eagles improved to 6-2 with a 38-20 victory over the Giants.

The 6’8″, 365-pound lineman spotted his target on the sideline and decided to have some serious fun. It was both funny and scary at the same time, prompting some fans to joke that the reporter might’ve peed his pants.
Jordan Mailata Has Reporter Mike Garafolo Screaming in Viral Sideline Moment
Wild sideline moments aren’t new in NFL stadiums. Players have been caught doing everything from proposing to their girlfriends to dancing with mascots. But this one hits different. Mailata’s size advantage made the prank feel genuinely threatening for a split second.
After giving reporter Mike Garafolo a friendly fist bump, the Eagles lineman suddenly lunged toward him. Garafolo flinched and screamed in fear as the 6-foot-8 Aussie towered over him, turning the sideline scare into instant comedy gold.
Mailata screamed, “How you like them apples?” as Garafolo responded, “Ahh, don’t hurt me, man”. The whole exchange was caught on the Eagles’ mic’d-up footage. Then the football guys started cracking up immediately afterward.
Jordan Mailata making @MikeGarafolo flinch has to be one of the greatest mic’d up clips ever. 😂

The video shows them walking through the postgame scene, laughing and joking like old buddies. The mic caught Mailata telling his partner with a laugh, “I was gonna charge him. I was about to headbutt Mike.” In every way, it was classic offensive lineman humor right there.
Mailata’s been known around the league as one of the more personable guys in the trenches. Safe to say, the former Australian rugby player brings a different energy to the football field.
He’s not even afraid to mix it up with media members, either. And on social media, people absolutely loved the comic exchange. The surprising part? The Eagles are often blamed for getting easy calls from refs or having bad fan behavior — but this time, Mailata showed a different side of Philly.
Fans React to Jordan Mailata’s Perfectly Executed Prank
Social media ate this clip up faster than a linebacker reading a screen pass. The majority joked and asked if Garafolo had already wet his pants.
One fan wrote, “Mike check those pants buddy.”
Another fan claimed, “It seemed like a joke to me.”
A second shared, “Everyone laughing at Mike like Mailata isn’t built like a damn Grizzly Bear. You’d flinch too.” Fair point. When 365 pounds of muscle comes at you, instincts kick in.
The fourth claimed, “Na he’s a legit big dude. He jumps at me like that the amount of shit to come out of me couldn’t be measured😂.” Honest assessment of the situation.
A random X user penned, “That’s a certified bathroom moment.”
A fifth wrote, “He 💩’d his pants.” Short and to the point.
Reminded me of the Peyton SNL locker room skit: “A little pee came out.” https://t.co/9Q885AMlDn

Garafolo himself also jumped on X afterward, referencing the classic Peyton Manning SNL locker room sketch: “Reminded me of the Peyton SNL locker room skit: ‘A little pee came out'”.
He laughed it off and handled the prank probably the best way possible. Making fun of yourself is the best way to deal with getting clowned.
