The Cincinnati Bengals have missed the playoffs in the last two seasons. This comes after them facing the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game during the 2021 season and 2022 season.

The Bengals defense was in shambles during the 2024 season. A lot of Bengals fans are hoping things are fixed in 2025, especially on defense. Quarterback Joe Burrow had an MVP caliber season despite having a 9-8 record and missing the playoffs in the AFC. Cincinnati will not be favored to win the AFC North, but this could be a huge year for them. Head coach Zac Taylor is potentially on the hot seat as well.
NFL Analyst Makes Alarming Take About the Cincinnati Bengals Entering the 2025 NFL Season

Cincinnati will have one of the best offenses in the NFL once again during the 2025 season as long as Burrow can stay healthy. He will have wide receivers Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase to his availability.
However, on First Things First on Tuesday, Nick Wright talked about if things are going to be different with the Bengals during the 2025 season compared to the 2024 season after looking at the schedule. Wright honestly said about this franchise,
“I think the Bengals are staring at a 3rd-straight year of missing the playoffs and that should be unacceptable with that quarterback and those receivers.”
Cincinnati will be playing Burrow in the preseason more often this year. The offense has not been the problem, but the slow starts have been an issue. If the Bengals can get off to a fast start this time around, maybe things will be different for them in 2025. This will be one of their mottos this season.
They started 0-3 in 2024. Cincinnati has the offensive talent to beat any team in the NFL. One of the biggest questions will be the defense. If the defense just goes from 32nd to 16th in the league, they will no doubt be a playoff team, even though some people are not predicting them to make the playoffs. Getting Trey Hendrickson and Shemar Stewart signed soon will help this defense. The Bengals could be one of the most polarizing teams during the 2025 NFL season also.
