Texas is one win away from playing for their first-ever SEC title, and all they have to do to get there is walk into College Station this weekend and beat one of their biggest rivals, Texas A&M.
This past weekend, the Longhorns were able to fight off Kentucky, but the win might have cost them their star player.
Quarterback Quin Ewers suffered an ankle injury in the game. According to Amwar Richardson from Orangebloods.com, “Texas QB Quinn Ewers will undergo a precautionary MRI on Sunday after injuring his ankle against Kentucky, according to my sources. Everyone close to the situation is cautiously optimistic Ewers does not have any structural damage and will only need ankle treatments this week.”

It sounds like Ewers will be okay to play this weekend, but if there is a chance he can’t go, backup Arch Manning will get another shot. The Ewers injury news had college football fans reacting in crazy ways because they are going back to last year when Florida State lost their starting quarterback Jordan Travis in the second last week of the season, still didn’t lose a game, and missed the playoffs.
The college football playoff committee didn’t let Florida State in because its quarterback got injured, and now fans are comparing it to Texas and Ewers.

We saw what the committee did with FSU last year and they were undefeated. Texas has a loss and zero ranked wins, why should they be in the playoff at all?

If he can’t play take Texas out.
Signed,
FSU fans everywhere.
