The Dallas native and South Oak Cliff high school graduate has set his official decision date for the 20th of July 2022. Cornerback Malik Muhammad stands at 6’0″, 170-pounds and is not a paltry recruit.  Malik is ranked as the 38th recruit nationally, 7th in the state of Texas, and is the 6th overall cornerback. The rankings are according to 247sports.com and their 247Sports Composite.

Aggies are looking for Malik Muhammed “momentum” in recruiting, but do the Longhorns simply have too much gas and too little breaks?

Malik’s decision is potentially a crucial recruiting battle for the Texas Longhorns staff. Having made his official visit to Texas in June and then having an unofficial visit to Texas A&M later in the same month, the Aggies made the final three with the Longhorns. More depth at the cornerback position is always welcome and Malik would be a fine addition. However, Longhorn fans should hold their excitement until the decision is final. After all, the two programs of Alabama and Texas A&M are incredibly serious contenders for Malik.

Come July 20th we shall have an official “Gig’em!”, “Hook’em!”, or “Roll Tide!” from Malik Muhammed. Until then. his high school highlights shall continue to tease the three fanbases awaiting his decision. My bias regarding the desired outcome should already be known.

    Hook’em!
