The Texas Longhorns could use some extra help at wide receiver after losing three of their top five receivers, Matthew Golden, Isaiah Bond, and Silas Bolden, to the upcoming draft. Not only did they lose their top receivers, but they also lost experience, as the remaining receivers have either played some, very little, or not at all. Junior DeAndre Moore Jr. has played the most games with 25, while sophomore Ryan Wingo has played the second with 16, redshirt freshman Parker Livingstone the third most with four, and the others have yet to play a game.
Because of this, the Longhorns could address their receiver needs in the spring portal.
The Texas Longhorns secured the top receiver in the transfer portal

According to Hayes Fawcett, the Longhorns landed Stanford Cardinal’s sophomore Emmett Mosley V from the transfer portal. As Fawcett points out, Mosley is the top wide receiver available in the transfer portal and has three years of eligibility remaining. He has primarily played in the slot so far in his college career.

He had an impressive freshman season

Emmett Mosley V committed to the Stanford Cardinal as a three-star recruit for the 2024 season. Mosley had an impressive freshman season, hauling in 48 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns in nine games. He finished second on the team in receptions and yards and tied for first in touchdowns.
Mosley entered the transfer portal following Troy Taylor’s firing, allowing him to transfer to Texas before the spring transfer portal opened.

Great get. He compliments Moore and Wingo well. Work the inside and be a high volume short yardage guy. Run after catch.
Feel very relieved now addressing this. TE still most important. Everything else will be fine if we get a TE
