Texas Longhorns: Kelvin Banks Jr. Lands With Stunning Team In Latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft

One of the reasons why the Texas Longhorns are such a successful college football program right now is because of the talent they have on the roster. Texas could have a few players be drafted in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

In the latest NFL Mock Draft by CBS Sports, Chris Trapasso has the Carolina Panthers having the number one pick and the Tennessee Titans as the number two overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. With the second pick, he has the Titans selecting Longhorns offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. with that pick.

This is not a surprise because Tennessee does need offensive line help, but some could argue they could take a quarterback because of how bad Will Levis has been this season for the Titans. Trapasso said:

“The Titans add another first-round pick to the offensive line with Banks, who’s starred at tackle for the No. 1 team in the land to date.”

Drafting an offensive lineman would not be a bad move for the Titans. However, it appears as if Will Levis is not going to turn the corner for them in the long run.

Scouting Report

Banks Jr. is the left tackle for the Longhorns. Here is some of the scouting report according to nfldraftbuzz.com:

“Exceptional length and mass for the position, with a squatty build that provides natural leverage advantages against edge rushers, Displays impressive initial quickness out of his stance, allowing him to gain depth quickly in pass protection, and Possesses elite explosive power, evident in his ability to drive defenders off the line of scrimmage in the run game.”

This is something that the Tennessee Titans are missing up front. He would be a great left tackle for them and that is something they have been missing ever since Taylor Lewan was not on the team.
