The Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian are busy preparing for the opening road of the college football playoffs against the Clemson Tigers. Texas finished the regular season with an 11-2 record and Clemson had a 10-3 record.
The Longhorns lost in the SEC Championship Game against the Georgia Bulldogs in overtime. As for the Tigers, they defeated the SMU Mustangs in the ACC Championship Game on a game-winning field goal.
Texas Longhorns Head Coach Steve Sarkisian Is Not Happy That Another Year of Eligibility To Vanderbilt Commodores Quarterback Diego Pavia Was Granted
Earlier this college football season, the Texas Longhorns defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores 27-24. Texas had to earn that win on the road against Vanderbilt. The Commodores finished with a 6-6 record. Pavia was given another season to play in the NCAA.
“The decision by the U.S. District Court of Middle Tennessee and Judge William Campbell to grant Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia another season of eligibility has sent a shockwave through college sports.”
Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian was not thrilled about this decision at all. He added:
“I totally disagree with the…determination on this. We chose to go to Junior College football. That’s where we wanted to start and play our careers. So, I don’t understand it at all. We’re going to have guys 28-29 years old playing college football. What’s the point? I don’t get it. I don’t understand it. I totally disagree with it.”
These are very interesting comments from the head coach of the Longhorns. At some point, there might have to be an age limit in college football.

He’s right. We’ll have professional college football.
NIL has to be replaced with CONTRACTS that bind a player to a program. None of these players bouncing from college to another college year after year,… or bigger programs pilfering players from smaller schools.

Out of control NIL deals, portal madness, and the US District Court says “Hold my beer”

Sark is definitely still upset about what Penix did to them last year.

This has to stop at some point. The court has ruined it to the point there has to be some hard line rules implemented that applies to all states. Can’t depend on Baker & the NCAA, he is useless.

They can get more money staying in college indefinitely now.

There is no doubt that Steve Sarkisian is not the only one concerned moving forward. Just like high school sports have an age limit, it is time for college sports to do the same as well.
