The Texas Longhorns are the number five seed in the college football playoffs. Texas finished with an 11-2 record before the college football playoffs. The Longhorns lost to the Georgia Bulldogs during the regular season and also in the SEC Championship Game as well.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns are preparing to face the Clemson Tigers (ACC Champions) in the college football playoffs. Texas still has a path to win it all in 2024.
Texas Longhorns Schedule For 2025 Announced
On Wednesday, the SEC part of the 2025 schedule was announced for the Texas Longhorns. Other than that, the Longhorns will also face the Ohio State Buckeyes on August 30. It will be a big game for both teams to start next season.
On October 4, the Longhorns will begin SEC Conference play against the Florida Gators. They will have the same conference opponents in 2025 as they did in 2024. On October 11, they will face the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry. Texas will have a tough part of the schedule in the final three weeks of the 2025 season.
The Longhorns will have the Georgia Bulldogs on November 15, the Arkansas Razorbacks on November 22, and the Texas A&M Aggies on November 29. Texas had problems with Georgia this season. The Texas Longhorns defense dominated the Aggies offense last season.

Hopefully Arch Manning can beat Georgia in their home bro.

Ending the season with back 2 back rivals. I love it. Same schedule sort of just home and away is different.

We open up at Ohio State right out the gate. Cue the rest of the SEC saying our schedule is weak.
One school who only has leaves the state, or Atlanta THREE times, but swear they’re playing the AFC North 😭

Why does texas always get the easy schedule? Who are they paying off?

Literally the same schedule from this year, SEC is so pathetic 😭😭😭

Interestingly, the Texas Longhorns will not face the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Ole Miss Rebels, or the Tennessee Volunteers next season. Even if some people claim Texas will face an easy schedule, it probably will not. The Texas Longhorns will be loaded once again next season with Arch Manning possibly being the starting quarterback and Quinn Ewers leaving college.
