Texas Longhorns: Fans Rant About Quinn Ewers Being Alive For the Heisman Trophy Campaign

The Texas Longhorns plan on getting quarterback Quinn Ewers back from injury this week. For the last two games for the Longhorns, Arch Manning was the starting quarterback and did a nice job filling in for him.

Ewers before he got hurt, was one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy this season. A lot has changed over the last few weeks with the Heisman Trophy.

Fans Rant About Texas Longhorns Quarterback Quinn Ewers Still Being Alive For the Heisman Trophy Race

Some Longhorns fans think that Quinn Ewers is still alive to win the Heisman Trophy despite the fact he missed the last couple of weeks due to injury. However, there were fans on Twitter who thought they were wrong about that. Here is what they said:

At this point, it would feel like Ashton Jeanty’s trophy to lose with the way he has been playing for the Boise State Broncos. Travis Hunter of the Colorado Buffaloes feels like the other candidate to walk away with the trophy right now.

Quinn Ewers Could Always Be Benched For Arch Manning

Some Longhorns fans want to see Arch Manning playing instead of Ewers. That is understandable, but Ewers gives them a better chance of winning it all this season than Manning does.

If Ewers does not play well this weekend against the Oklahoma Sooners, head coach Steve Sarkisian is going to be asked about the quarterback situation. If the former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback plays well against Oklahoma like he did against the Michigan Wolverines, then maybe he could get back into the Heisman Trophy conversation.
