Winner Faces Either Notre Dame Or Penn State
The winner of this matchup will face either the Notre Dame Fighting Irish or the Penn State Nittany Lions in the National Championship Game. Notre Dame has not won it all since 1977, Penn State has not won it all since 1986, Texas has not won it all since 2005, and Ohio State has not won it all since 2014.
If the Texas Longhorns do not win the National Championship this season, this will be the second consecutive season that an SEC team will not win it all. There is a very good chance that a BIG10 team could win it all for the second consecutive season since the Michigan Wolverines won it all last season.
