The Texas Longhorns were dominated at home last weekend against the Georgia Bulldogs. This weekend, they were on the road against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Texas won the game on the road over Vanderbilt 27-24.
A win is a win for the program. They are 7-1 on the season and Vanderbilt dropped to 5-3 on the season. Texas was ranked fifth entering this game and Vanderbilt was ranked 25th in the country entering this game.
Texas Longhorns Fans Massively Concerned Despite The Win Over the Vanderbilt Commodores
The Longhorns fanbase is concerned about moving forward despite beating Vanderbilt. Texas has aspirations of winning it all this season, but the Texas Longhorns fanbase may not see it with this team right now. Here is what they said on Twitter:

Struggling against Vandy and obliterated by Georgia yeah it’s not looking good for us if we don’t get it together

Starting to think that punch in the mouth from Ga. They still can’t recover. It looks like they lost their mojo.

This team will not beat Arkansas next week.

That game was hard to watch.

Next week, the Longhorns will be on a bye week. The following week, they will face the Florida Gators at home. This is a perfect bye week for Texas to regroup.
Drops To 6 In AP Poll
Despite the win against the Vanderbilt Commodores, Texas dropped from five to six in the AP Poll for this week. The Longhorns were leapfrogged by the Miami Hurricanes for number five. Quinn Ewers played better for Texas this weekend, but he will need to be better moving forward.
Ewers completed 27-of-37 passes for 288 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. This is better than what he did against the Georgia Bulldogs last weekend. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns can still get to the SEC Championship Game this season.
