The Texas Longhorns will be facing the Oklahoma Sooners this weekend with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET at the Cotton Bowl. After this matchup for the Longhorns, they will be facing the Georgia Bulldogs back in Austin, Texas the following week on October 19.
There wasn’t a time announced for the game as of last week, but things changed with the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Tennessee Volunteers losing. Alabama and Tennessee will also be playing each other on October 19.
Texas Longhorns and Georgia Bulldogs Will Kickoff At 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC on October 19
Just two days ago, it was announced that the Longhorns and the Bulldogs are going to be kicking off at 7:30 p.m. ET on October 19 on ABC. The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Tennessee Volunteers will be playing each other at 3:30 p.m. ET on the same day before the primetime matchup.
There was a chance that Alabama and Tennessee could have been undefeated before their matchup with each other, but both lost on the road last weekend. Also, the Texas Longhorns and the Georgia Bulldogs will be a massive game on the college football schedule, especially for the SEC Conference and the college football playoff picture.
Fans React
When the Longhorns announced on their Twitter page the time of the game between them and the Bulldogs, it was not a surprise that the fanbase erupted. Here is what they had to say about it:

There is no doubt there is excitement and nervousness showing from the Texas Longhorns fanbase for this matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs. From the fans’ perspective, there is a very good chance that College GameDay will head to Austin, Texas in less than two weeks from now.
