The Texas Longhorns are going to be one of the most polarizing teams in college football for the 2025 season. Texas had Quinn Ewers as the starting quarterback for the last two seasons, but Arch Manning is ready to take the reins this season as the starter.

There is a lot of media attention toward Manning because of the family history. Arch Manning has a chance to take the college football landscape by storm for the 2025 season. Texas has not won it all in 20 years and they are looking to get back to the mountain top after losing in the semifinals in back-to-back seasons.
CBS Sports Analyst Ranks Texas Longhorns Quarterback Arch Manning As Top College Football Quarterback Entering the Spring

CBS Sports writer Tom Fornelli ranked his Top 10 college football quarterbacks entering the spring. At number one, he has Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning. Fornelli said,
“Of all the QBs on this list, Manning is the least accomplished on the field. He hasn’t led his team to a conference title or the College Football Playoff (though one can argue Texas doesn’t accomplish this things without him last year), but if you were to ask who the biggest name in the sport is at QB heading into 2025, it’d be Arch Manning. There’s been so much anticipation for his career since he was a high schooler, and this fall, we’ll all finally get to see him at the helm of the Texas offense.”
To round out the Top 5, Cade Klubnik of the Clemson Tigers is number two, Carson Beck of the Miami Hurricanes is three, Drew Allar of the Penn State Nittany Lions is four, and Sam Leavitt of the Arizona State Sun Devils is five.
Manning last season with the Longhorns completed 67.8% of his passes for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions. Many Texas fans felt like he should have started over Quinn Ewers even after Ewers returned from his abdominal injury last season. Manning is also an excellent runner and head coach Steve Sarkisian has to be happy to be heading into the 2025 season with him as the starting quarterback.
