The Texas Longhorns were in the storylines this weekend in the college football world. In the first half, Quinn Ewers left the game with an injury and did not return. Arch Manning came into the ball game and helped Texas dominate the UTSA Roadrunners by a final score of 56-7.

In the game, Manning completed 9-of-12 passes for 223 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 53 yards on three carries and one touchdown. Manning rushed for a 67-yard touchdown in the game against UTSA and it caught the attention of everyone in college football.
Texas Longhorns Quarterback Arch Manning Has Great Response To His Touchdown Run

After the game was over, Manning spoke to the media. Manning said to Brian Davis of atozsports:
“I credit my mom for that speed, not my dad.”
This is a funny response because his uncles Eli and Peyton, were not great runners in the NFL by any means. His Dad Cooper, was a very good runner. It felt like a major shock to people when Arch Manning ran for that touchdown run against the UTSA Roadrunners on Saturday night.
Manning was going to most likely get into the game anyway on Saturday night, but it was earlier than expected because of the injury. He will start in the next game against UL-Monroe. Quinn Ewers is week-to-week and there is also no timetable for his return. Manning will be the Longhorns’ starting quarterback moving forward. On Sunday, the Longhorns moved up from number 2 to number 1 in the rankings.
Fans React To His Touchdown Run

There were a lot of fan reactions during his touchdown run on Saturday for the Longhorns. This is what some fans had to say about it on Twitter:
Arch Manning got EVERY OUNCE of Manning athleticism in the UNIVERSE and some. He a brother from a different mother. pic.twitter.com/dnjhnXvwqu

The NFL is about to give Arch Manning a fake ID like he’s McLovin to get him in the 2025 QB class

Good game by Arch Manning but Giants fans DESPERATION to have another Eli Manning is OUT OF CONTROL

Manning is not eligible to be in the NFL Draft until 2026 because he is a redshirt freshman. Luckily, the Longhorns had insurance for Quinn Ewers being injured. Not many teams in the country have the luxury they have when it comes to the quarterback position.
