Yeah we can officially say it this time. The longhorns are all the way back. I told y’all in the BIG 12 blog 2 weeks ago that with Ewers, Texas is a different team. I never thought I would say Texas is back, but god damnit is this kid the real deal, Holyfield.

Ewers went 16-23 for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns in the first half. I’m not only going to suck off Quinn because that defense is great too. Shit, if you hold Army to 38 yards passing in a half that is still great, never mind a great offensive team like Oklahoma. Yeah, I know the starting QB Gabriel is out. So what? 38 yards passing, running the spread in one half! That is incredible, Texas is back.

Yeah, I keep saying Texas is back, because it sounds good and it’s good for college football. They will go undefeated the rest of the way, and be in a new years six bowl. Excuse me, I didn’t even talk about Bijan Robinson having over 100 yards and a touchdown in the first half either. This team is just running on all cylinders having 7 different wide receivers catching the ball in the first half as well.
Texas is Back!
The two best sayings about a state is “Texas Forever” and “Texas is Back”. Now am I writing this at halftime of a game where the opponent’s QB is out? Yes, yes I am; because hot takes and headlines sell shit, duh. But honestly, watching the first quarter vs. Bama and now this. Heisman for Ewers.
Ewers is just so poised in the pocket and makes the plays that are there to be made. It looks effortless when he throws the ball over the middle or down the field. He is everything Kentucky fans think Will Levis is. When Ewers can spread the defense out like this, Robinson just has holes for days. The offensive line is great. Wow, Texas is back.

Yeah, I am live blogging this so it may read a little weird. Right now it is the third quarter right after Bijan’s second touchdown run after a nice drive. The Texas defense is still posting a shut out in the Red River Shootout with three minutes left in the third quarter. I would hate to have the over, as Texas is just pounding the ground game with Johnson.
Haha, this is comical now. Ewers just threw his 4th touchdown pass and it is still not the 4th quarter. Texas 42, Oklahoma 0. Texas has not shut out Oklahoma since 1965 in a 19-0 victory. The Sooners have not been shut out by anyone in 311, that is 1998. It is the fourth quarter, will Texas do it?

Well, the first offensive play for Texas in the fourth quarter is a 30-yard run by their 3rd string running back. This is getting silly, Oklahoma is out of it. The stadium has almost no red in it anymore. I mean 4th string running back Jonathan Brooks just scored a 20 plus yard rushing touchdown, put a fork in OU.
A shut out in this game will make all of the national media say “Texas is back.” There is no doubt about that. I think it is going to happen. OU looks uninterested in playing the rest of the game. I took a break for a few minutes to watch entertaining games and with two minutes left, it is going to happen.
Texas is Back!
The Texas Longhorns shut out the Oklahoma Sooners 49-0 in the 2022 Red River Shootout. The first time OU has been shut out since 1999. The first three game losing streak since the AP Poll was instituted in the 1930s. Wow, Texas is Sooo Back.
Moving on from this game, if Texas plays like this the rest of the way, the rest of the conference is in trouble. There is no doubt that the Longhorns with Ewers at the helm are the best team in the Big 12. They will destroy all other teams if he stays healthy the rest of the way. Wow, he is fucking good. Tell me on twitter if I am right or not.
