CeeDee Lamb might have alienated part of the Dallas Cowboys fan base with a post he made on Friday afternoon. The star wide receiver made it clear where his football allegiances are during the team’s preseason.
During a Cowboys training camp practice at the River Ridge Fields in Oxnard, California, Lamb took a picture with newcomer George Pickens.
Lamb made a hand gesture where he extended the index and pinky fingers while grasping the second and third fingers with the thumb of both of his hands.

Some fans on X thought the gesture looked oddly similar to the “Hook ’em Horns” sign that Texas Longhorns students make during athletic events.

Lamb played football in college for the Oklahoma Sooners, the arch-rival of the Longhorns.
Lamb made sure to clarify his gesture on X to fans who questioned his loyalty to Oklahoma.
“You do realize, i’m showing the back of my hand right? Me and Texas will never go together, sorry,” Lamb posted in response to Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown’s post of Texas’s mascot Bevo.

Cowboys fans reacted to the post

Cowboys fans had fun in the comments.
As a Longhorn fan I hated CeeDee when he at OU. When you hate someone in sports that you never met before, it’s likely because that someone is actually pretty great at said sport. No one was happier than me when he unexpectedly fell to us. That said Hookem,” wrote a Texas fan who is happy Lamb is on the Cowboys.
“I mean, you in Texas now, soooo you definitely go with Texas,” posted a fan who wanted to remind Lamb where his home is.
