The Texas A&M Aggies saw one of their star players get into legal issues on Sunday morning, and this is going to be an interesting development. Few details of the situation have been revealed at the time of this writing, but coach Mike Elko has given a statement regarding the situation.
Let’s take a deeper dive into what we know at this time and what Coach Elko has said regarding the legal issue after running back Le’Veon Moss was arrested.
Mike Elko Speaks After Texas A&M Star Arrested

Texas A&M coach Mike Elko gave Carter Karels at GigEm247 a very brief and direct statement on the situation with Le’Veon Moss.
“We are aware of the situation regarding Le’Veon Moss and will handle the matter internally.”
KBTX in College Station reported the arrest took place about 1 a.m. CT and that Moss was apparently involved in an argument where he was threatening and “speaking aggressively” at someone else. After there were attempts by law enforcement and those in his party to calm Moss down, he and one other person were arrested.
Moss has spent each of the last three seasons with Texas A&M, and he is coming off his most productive season. He finished the 2024 season with 121 rushing attempts for 765 yards (6.3 yards per carry) with 10 rushing touchdowns as well as 10 receptions for 141 yards (14.1 yards per catch), but did not find the end zone as a receiver. However, he would suffer a season-ending injury and miss the final four games of the season.
While there could be some more questions regarding the situation between now and when Texas A&M speaks at the 2025 SEC Media Days on Thursday as the final team, it appears coach Mike Elko will not be addressing the situation of the program’s running back too much.
