The best college football game on Saturday will be live from College Station for Missouri at Texas A&M, which could decide someone’s playoff hopes.
If Missouri wins, it will be in a great spot to make the playoffs. If the Aggies come out on top, it will keep its playoff hopes alive another week. However, it still has that Week One loss against Notre Dame, so it has to keep winning if it wants to play meaningful football in December.
Texas A&M Gets Great News
One of the Aggies’ best players coming into the season was quarterback Conner Weigman. Many believed he could be a first-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft, but a shoulder injury has kept him out the last few weeks.
Weigman has not seen any game action since Week Two, and his backup, Marcel Reed, has done a great job in his place, beating two SEC teams, Florida and Arkansas.
Reed will likely start again on Saturday, but the Aggies have some great news about their number-one guy.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel states, “Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman’s injured shoulder is improving, and he’s healthy enough where he’ll be dressed and available for the game against No. 9 Missouri today. Look for a game-time decision on a starter for A&M, as big decisions looms.”
Thamel also stated” The decision whether to start Weigman or Marcel Reed is a game-time one, per sources. Reed looms as the expected starter for the fourth straight game, according to sources, who cautioned that if Weigman is feeling 100% that there is a chance that he could resume his starting role.”

Even though it doesn’t sound like Weigman will start this weekend, it does sound like he will be dressed for the first time in almost a month, which is great news that he is almost ready to come back as the starter.
If Reed struggles on Saturday, Weigman could come into the game in his place, so just having him in uniform is a big deal.
