The Houston Texans fell to 5-2 on the year after their heartbreaking loss to the Green Bay Packers. Jordan Love led Green Bay down the field late in the fourth quarter and Brandon McManus kicked a 45 yard field win 24-22.
The loss was difficult for Houston to swallow as they felt they let the win slip through their fingers. Stefon Diggs was quiet all afternoon as he was held to just five receptions for 23 yards. Following the game, head coach DeMeco Ryans didn’t mince his words when it came to his all-pro wide receiver.
Texans: DeMeco Ryans Seemingly Throws Stefon Diggs Under Bus After Packers Loss

According to Darrelle Lincoln of Total Pro Sports:
Things got heated early on Sunday at Lambeau Field, and Diggs was in the middle of it.
The Houston Texans’ star wide receiver got into it with Green Bay cornerback Jaire Alexander near the Packers sideline before Sunday’s game, and the two had to be separated after the scuffle escalated.
Multiple officials stepped in to keep what turned into seemingly the entire Packers roster from running Stefon Diggs off the field.
It’s unclear what sparked the incident on the sideline, but Diggs spoke about it after the game.
“I was walking to the locker room at the beginning of the game, and I heard somebody chirping,” Diggs said.
Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs said, “I’m never the bigger person,” regarding his heated pregame scuffle with Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander.
Diggs said he was walking to the locker room as the game was getting ready to kick off before he heard “chirping” from Alexander.
He may feel that way, but his head feels different.
Coach DeMeco Ryans would’ve preferred for Diggs to be the bigger person in that situation, saying, “We can’t be about chirping.”

Diggs has been traded twice in his career so far. Both times, the veteran wide receiver certainly had a say in the trade happening. Houston is 5-2 and winning football games, however, it will be interesting to see how Diggs handles some adversity.
That has been a contributing factor for him disconnecting with previous teams.
