The Tennessee Volunteers made the college football playoffs this season with a 10-2 record. They didn’t make the SEC Championship Game, but they were 1 of 3 teams in the conference to make the postseason. The other two teams in the conference who made it were the Texas Longhorns and the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Tennessee Volunteers are coached by Josh Heupel. Tennessee will face the Ohio State Buckeyes on the road in the first round of the college football playoffs.

On Wednesday, the Volunteers 2025 college football schedule was announced.

They will open the season on August 30 against the Syracuse Orange. The Tennessee Volunteers will begin conference play on September 13 against the Georgia Bulldogs. It kind of feels early for that matchup. They will face the Alabama Crimson Tide on the road on October 18 and then face the Kentucky Wildcats the week after.
Tennessee will face the Florida Gators on November 22 and then face the Vanderbilt Commodores at home on November 29 to end the 2025 college football regular season. The Tennessee Volunteers could very well win at least nine or more games next season.

Outside of that, kinda like Georgia early in the season but Florida is still going to be a mess regardless in The Swamp.

Many Tennessee Volunteers fans are not thrilled with the fact that they face the Georgia Bulldogs so early next season. Tennessee and Georgia faced each other late in the year in 2024. The Volunteers and Bulldogs will both be very talented next season. Tennessee will have some other tough games on the schedule for next season.
